Leadership Team

The purpose of the Academy Leadership Team is to assist Master Misael in maintaining his high standards for training and teaching and to support the positive atmosphere that defines our school community. 

Leadership Team members promote the Academy mission statement, "building strength, confidence, and community through martial arts" by example, displaying the school core values - discipline, respect, honor - both on and off the mat. Leadership Team members are approachable, available to help any student, and committed to their martial arts journey.  

Leadership Team is comprised of black belts and advanced students. Membership is by Master Misael's invitation and requires extra commitment both to weekly training and to the Academy community events; this group assists Master Misael in classes and at all special events and belt tests.

The Leadership Team trains for breaking, forms, and Hapkido demonstrations to be performed at Academy events. 

The team also assists Master Misael at the color belt tests.  Team members are all trained to "attack", hold for board breaks, and help out however needed...but the best part of assisting Master Misael at tests is giving out the new belts and Certificates of Rank to happy, newly promoted students!
